On a scale of 1 to 10 how rude is it to pop up on your timeline (without explanation) after disappearing for 3 weeks? 👀Asking for myself... 🙃anywho, I’m back y’all! And after having a serious mental block at the beginning of the new year, I’m ready to blog and sew again. I’ll tell you guys all about it one day. Here it is y’all! My top 9 makes and likes for 2019! These were compiled based on the number of likes...but I can’t lie. These were some of my favorite projects too! I took a lot of risks, challenged myself on every front and made awesome connections with a lot of you guys. There are other #memakes that didn’t make the list but I’ll share those in my stories. But without further ado..Here we go! 1. The sequin robe! This is still my favorite thing in my closet and probably as close to “avant garde” that I’ve ever come. This is the #sukirobe pattern by @helens__closet. PS - if you need an idea for a NYE outfit, this is a quick sew. 2. My jeans...I mean it still blows my mind that that happened. This was also a #makenine commitment that I made to myself at the end of last year. This was the @mimigstyle and @simplicity_creative_group pattern #s8516. She has a fantastic 5 part sew along on YouTube! 3. The #solinajumpsuit by @namedclothing! This is from their book #breakingthepattern which I bought in January. I plan on using more patterns from this book in 2020! 4. The leopard skirt...or should I say the hack that changed my whole style mind frame! 🤯 I think my biggest “ah-ha” moment was when I found out how to tuck my shirt into my bra to reduce bulge at the waistline. Also, I made this skirt from my takeover with @dhfabricsandco. 5. The #ogdencami dress hack! I think I wore this dress at least once a week during the Summer. It’s still a favorite and the fabric is still available on @fabricdotcom! 6. #biboveralls by @sewhouse7. I wanted them to be pink -and the rest, as they say is history! 7. I jumped on the #zadiejumpsuit bandwagon very quickly! I wore this a lot in the Summer and early Fall as well. It’s a really quick sew and great for beginners since it has a wrap closure. 8. The dress that launched a thousand....twinning moments! Remember #sewtwinning? 🤪 9. Mixing prints! I wanted to make something with dots and stripes and my risk paid off! And a special thanks to @minervadotcom @harts_fabric. I’ve tried my best to tag all products and companies! Happy New Year 🥂

Me: is it Thursday?! Papa: yup, all day long! ...and that basically sums up my whole trip. 🤣 Do I know what day it is? Not always.
