Hey sewing friends! Happy Summer! I recently took a trip to NYC for my birthday and of course I made my outfits, went fabric shopping and vlogged about my entire trip. Can I just say that I’m glad that I started editing footage on my trip – or else none of these videos would be posted. Laughing, but sooo serious.

Here’s a look at a few outfits (old and new, but still all memade) that I brought on this trip. I also made a few “behind the seam” sew vlogs for two of my looks.

I made my husband’s pants. He helped me with sewing these. You’ll see him on the sewing machine in the vlog.

I made two dresses for my trip. Simplicity 9597 and McCalls 7789.

I also went fabric shopping in Jamaica, Queens and at Mood Fabrics in Manhattan. Here’s my two vlogs on my shopping experience and everything that I bought. In total, my fabric trip cost me around $225. And if I’m being honest, that’s not bad considering all of the options I had while out there.

Check out my shopping experience and fabric haul from Mood!

And if you’re interested in learning more about my trip and some of the places that Joe and I went to… what we ate, our everyday experiences… I made 2 vlogs about our trip.

Let me know in the comments if you enjoy travel content. I’m debating if I should vlog on our next trip. And if there’s enough interest, I’ll do it.

Until next time! xo
