Here are the notes on my maxi skirt hack:
Changes are only made to the skirt portion.
This hack is for someone who is 5’1’’ – add 6 inches of length for height between 5’5’’-5’6’’ Seam allowance is ½ inch for the skirt only.
First tier: Measure your waist and multiply the number times 2. For example: (36×2= 72) Add 1 inch for seam allowance. The length should be at least 20 inches long from your waist to the bottom of the row. Using the same example cut 2 squares on the fold at 18 ¼ inch wide and 20 inches in length.
Second tier: Take your waist measurement and add 4 inches. Cut 3 squares on the fold using this number. For example: 36+4=40. Add 1 inch for seam allowance. The length should be at least 17 inches long from top of the row to your ankle. For example, cut 3 squares on the fold at 20 ½ inches wide, by 17 inches long.
As always here are more photos of this dress!
