Hey sewing friends! I made a new jacket for Spring and I absolutely love it!! It has a half zip, pullover feature with elastic stops for a full windbreaker effect.

This pattern is easy but it also has a couple of tiny steps so yes, it comes together fast but there are a couple of sewing steps in between. The sew along that Mimi and Norris made makes it super easy to follow as well.

Let’s get into what I used. I used a green twill fabric that I had in my stash. You can learn more about it here in my recent fabric haul on YouTube.

I cut out a size 10, which gave me about 4 inches of ease around the jacket bodice. I also used about 3 yards of 60 inch fabric with just a little left over for scraps.

I got my elastic stops from Amazon. I only needed 2 but ended up with a whole pack. I guess I’ll have more for my next project.

The jacket also has a curved hem and I used a cotton quilt fabric that I bought from Mood a few years back.

Lastly I added this “Black Girl Magic” patch that I got on Etsy. I bought it for another project last month, but decided to use it here. I think it adds a little extra personal touch. I tried to add a link for this but I think it’s currently sold out.

Until next time, xo
