Y’all know that I love vacation sewing projects! So for this recent trip, I not only made a few things for myself, I also made a shacket for my husband, Joe.

We decided to go to St. Louis for Valentine’s Day after we had to postpone our trip in July.

I got to work in January working on my quilted coat and Joe’s jacket. I had plans to wear a few other pieces but I ran out of time before the trip. Y’all know how that can go.

Either way, as Joe always reminds me, I have plenty of other handmade outfits that deserve their day in the sun too!

Today I’m sharing my sew along for Joe’s shacket (Simplicity pattern S9388). It was a requested video from so many of you.

Plus, my sewing vlog from when I made my quilted jacket.

And… our vlog from the trip. We packed in a lot during one weekend! We went to the top of the gateway arch, visited some local attractions and ate really great food!!
