I immediately fell in love with this pattern as soon as I saw it on Instagram. You can dress it up, dress it down, take it to work -the possibilities are endless!

I already have 15 black cardigans so I needed a white one. I used Ponte de Roma fabric from here.  This is the second time I’ve used this fabric and it has really grown on me. It’s easy to work with and has an excellent weight for draped garments.

The purchasing process and delivery was fairly easy on https://stylesewme.com/

Inside the packaging there are directions and a link to a video on Erin’s site in case you want to sew-along. I followed the video and the pattern booklet and made it in a few hours. Inside the video Erin discusses how to let your garment hang overnight so that the fabric can settle. I made sure to follow those directions and finished my hem the next day.

Overall, this was one of the simplest, yet dramatic piece of garment I’ve ever made. We had some windy weather on the day I took pictures and it seemed to capture the essence of the cardigan. If you notice, I dressed mine up with heels. I’m 5’1” and the cardigan dragged the floor when I wore flats.

When I make this again (probably a more casual version) I will probably shorten the bottom hem so I wear it with my sneakers or UGGs.
