Hey everyone! It has been a really long time since I wrote anything here, but with the recent deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor I had to take a step back from blogging and put my energy in other places. Have I been protesting? Yes, digitally. Have I been making meaningful changes in my community. Umm, absolutely.
With all of that, I have not given much thought to sewing because my mind and heart were a little distracted. Understandably so! I am still struggling to get through some of the easiest projects, but I managed to crank out the Adrienne blouse by Friday Pattern Company.
I recently bought it after watching sewist after sewist swoon over the sleeves and general ease of this project. I love this blue print one that I made, and I plan to make another in a solid color very soon.
I apologize that this is a short post, but I’m trying to navigate how I want to continue blogging in this space going forward.
