TGIF! I know July 4th themes will be super strong in less than 24 hours but let’s just enjoy this citrus yellow skirt for a minute.

I used Mimi G Style pattern 8927 which came out last Summer, but it’s such a classic already…like, I can wear this anytime! My fabric is from Minerva. It’s a citrus (almost neon) yellow bottom weight linen.

The pattern comes with two skirt lengths, I chose view C which is the longer version of the two. The skirt calls for about 6 buttons, but I was feeling a little flirty and only sewed on 6. Ha!

This is essentially a wrap skirt, with a button closure, no vent in the back (because you have one in the front, duh!). It has two darts in the back to help give it a nice shape around the bum with two pockets as well.

Overall this was an easy skirt pattern. Although, I can see how one could get confused if you have fabric that can used on both sides. As a matter of fact, I actually think my button closure is backwards…but who cares. It still closes, right? LOL.

Anyway y’all…have a great weekend and happy sewing!

That skirt is cute and I didn’t even notice closure, hehe. I love the yellow.
