Happy Saturday! I know things are hard right now because it’s hot, you have your mask on, and more than anything you would like to dip in a pool and socialize without thinking twice about your health.
But can I show you an outfit that makes you feel like you’re at a resort, pool or with friends? This caftan!
So many talented sewists in the community have made this caftan and showed it on IG. From @mimigstyle, to @indoorshannon, @thecornyrainbow and @anitabydesign…it’s everywhere, in a good way.
I see exactly why this pattern is so popular. By the way this is a Big 4 vintage pattern so while I’m peacefully protesting this company…I am also dropping a few breadcrumbs if you absolutely need this pattern.
I used a rayon challis fabric from LA Finch for my look. It’s like a cheetah, zebra abstract print. At first I wasn’t sure how this would translate into a caftan but after taking my pictures I realize that this is more than OKAY! I’m really happy that I chose this print to go with this style since it does give it a resort feel.
I mean, picture yourself on the beach in this mama! You’ll be the talk of the resort ma’am!!
