Whewwww… I have survived. Tell the others!
Listen, if you think making a denim jacket is hard, you are very correct. But, it’s also mind over matter -with a little bit of skill. On the other side of this mountain, is triumph, bad assery and an all around feeling of accomplishment. So if you can focus on the good, then this is for you.

I’ve made quite a few denim pieces in my sewing career. I’ve made 2 pairs of jeans, 1 pair of denim shorts and my latest, this denim jacket. But, I will tell you that even though this is the fourth denim garment that I’ve made, I have certainly learned a lot. And when I learn something – y’all know that I love to also share that knowledge. So this is part one of my “Sewing with Denim” series!

Let’s be real for a sec, a denim project can take weeks or in my case, months! So many Instagram followers were intrigued by my project and what once started out as a single blog post, turned into a worksheet and has somehow grown into a FREE mini E-book. Without giving away all the details, I put this book together to help you stay focused, organized and have a stress free project. With my printable checklist and worksheets you’ll be able to document the topstitch thread color, needle size, stitch lengths, denim/fabric information, plus steps to follow to make sure that your project is stress free and successful. You can access it here! If you love the guide be sure to tag @ravenmaureen_ on IG and use the hashtag #sewingwithdenimebook.
Disclaimer: This is a free guide that is an additional resource for sewing with denim for intermediate and advanced sewists. This is not a free denim garment or pattern. Individual results may vary.
