Happy Monday y’all! I’m back with a new pattern review for the Nora tank. If you follow @sewbakemake on IG then you know that she launched this pattern a few weeks ago.

It’s an easy beginner pattern with several views and combinations that you can mix and match -and even hack, which you know that I love. It’s a lose fitting blouse – kind of like a boxy shape, but still feminine.

I used a combination of two views and used the shoulder ties and made a gathered peplum bottom with this neutral gingham fabric that I had in my stash. It’s a linen/cotton blend, which I think goes in line with the suggested fabrics for the pattern.

I hosted an IG live when I began sewing this and I finished it in one sitting. The main steps that you’ll learn how to do in this pattern are stay stitching, sewing a facing, understitching and gathers (depending on the view).

I paired it with a pair of straight jeans, but I also thought about using flare jeans as well. I wore platform sandals but I also like the idea of a wedge or platform too.

If I had to make this again, which I probably will, I will either consider making a blouse version without the ties or a dress version with lots and lots of tiers. Until next time! xo.
